| How are teams put together? |
For our rookie league we try to honor as many requests as possible. Not all
requests will be granted. For our other teams please read the
Team Formation Policy. |
| |
| When are signups? |
| We offer an early mail in registration off the website from July 15th thru
October 15th. We also have in person registrations at Clague cabin the last
Saturday in January and the first Saturday in February. You can also mail
the registration form with a check to the WBL PO Box. |
| |
| What if I miss signups? |
| Each of our leagues has a limited number of roster spots available due to field
limitations. After our February signup no guarantee of a roster spot can be
made. Additionally you will be charged a $25 late fee. |

| Practices usually start three weeks prior to the start of the season which is
on or about May 15th. The season is over by the last week of July. |

| How many games are scheduled? |
| Each league is a little different but we schedule 18 knowing that we usually
get three or four rainouts that we do not make up. |
| |
| Are there Practices? |
| Each team is given practice time starting in mid-April up to the start of the
season. Once the season starts there is little field availability for
practices, however, slots are scheduled on Sunday’s. |
| |
| How do I volunteer to coach? |
| On the registration form there is a spot to mark for that. You can also
contact the commissioner of the league. See our "Contact Us" page. |
| |
| I can’t coach but I want to help? |
| Teams need people to coordinate team activities like the Memorial Day parade,
snack schedules, picture day and others. We encourage you to speak with your
coach. There is also a need to help with the Westlake Baseball
League. Please contact the president or other board member to see all the
opportunities available for you to help the WBL. |
| |
| Can my player play both in-house and travel? |
| Yes, but both fees apply and for the in house league your player can not be an
all star. Additionally communication between your family and coaches is very
important. |
| |
| Can my nephew/cousin/etc who lives in another city play in our in house
program? |
| No, not at this time. |
| |
| We signed up but haven’t heard from our coach? |
| Go to the home page and under contact us locate your level of league play,
rookie, minor, etc, and send a email to that commissioner who should respond in
about 48 hours. |
| |
